We’re looking for someone with strong communication skills – written and verbal – and the ability to document work clearly. Analytical thinking and problem-solving are essential, as is experience in material management and computer literacy.
You’ll need practical skills in operating workshop equipment such as turning, drilling, welding, soldering, and CNC machinery. Adaptability is important, as the role may involve working outside normal hours, in confined spaces, and at height.
While not essential, qualifications such as a Diploma in Marine Construction, Mechanical Installation, or System Engineering and Maintenance would be an advantage. Certificates in Mechanical Engineering or leadership qualifications like ILM Level 2 are also desirable.
Above all, we value a proactive attitude and willingness to learn. If you’re ready to take on a varied role in a busy shipyard environment, we’d love to hear from you.
