Cory operates one of the largest energy from waste facilities in the United Kingdom, with a unique river-based infrastructure on the Thames for delivering waste.
Cory is investing more than £900 million in its operations and river infrastructure over the coming years. This includes the Riverside 2 energy from waste facility which is currently being built next to the company's existing energy from waste facility in Belvedere.
We are currently recruiting for a Jetty and Logistics Supervisor to work at our Riverside Energy from Waste facility. The holder of this role will provide an important function that directly contributes to the smooth running of the facility through a variety of operational and supervisory duties and responsibilities.
Key elements of the role
Acting under the direction of the Jetty and Logistics Manager, the role holder will:
Coordinate Jetty operations, including day-to-day management of resources and staff
Make sure work area is compliant with current legislation
Make sure work area is compliant with environmental legislation
Maintain health, safety and security of work area
Use and maintain plant and equipment
Process received waste
Process generated ash
Ensure all communication and documentation is regularly reviewed and current, creating new items when required
Carry out other reasonable tasks and duties as requested by management.
Please note that this role is shift-based.
The individual we are looking for will be able to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and experience:
Team leadership and delegation

Operational knowledge, including vehicle, plant and equipment
Knowledge of environmental, waste and health and safety legislation
Desirable: IOSH Supervising Safety or IOSH Managing Safely
